The UNITE Training School 2026 will take place from July 6th to July 10th, 2026 in Brixen (BZ), Italy, in the breathtaking setting of the Italian Dolomites. The event will be co-located with the PhD Summer School of Information Engineering (SSIE), organized for more than 30 years by the Department of Information Engineering (DEI) of the University of Padova.
The technical program will focus on the new frontiers of beyond-5G telecommunication networks, closely aligned with the core research areas of UNITE. The program will feature 8 technical lectures delivered by leading experts from academia and industry. The topics include Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC), advanced MIMO antenna systems, quantum and semantic communications, Agentic and Explainable AI, with particular emphasis on how machine learning can be used to improve cybersecurity.
Several distinguished speakers from the UNITE Consortium will contribute to the program, including Prof. Joerg Widmer (IMDEA), Prof. Sundeep Rangan (NYU), Prof. Marco Di Renzo (CSUPS), and Dr. Francesca Meneghello (NEU).
The School will also dedicate a full afternoon to a student workshop, where UNITE participants will have the opportunity to present their research, receive feedback from experts, and compete for the Best Presentation Award.
The Training School will be open to external researchers and PhD students from the broader 5G and 6G community, fostering valuable networking opportunities and enhancing the impact and visibility of the UNITE project.
A meeting of the Project Management Committee will also be held on the first day of the Training School.
